OLDSTER: SHORTY
BREED: LABRADOR RETRIEVER
AGE AT ONSET OF LP: 11 YEARS
OWNER: CID MORGAN
EMAIL: cmorgan@psci.net

Right after Shorty's 11th birthday in July,1998, she went in for a single tie back procedure. After the blood work was done she was found to have elevated liver bile acids. She was on medication that did not work and is going in for advanced biopsy work at Purdue Vet School Small Animal Clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Cid will go from there to try and decide what to do. The good news is that the cooler, fall weather has made her feel like a pup again and she is enjoying frisking about.

sadalp

OLDSTER: SADA
BREED: SALUKI
AGE AT ONSET OF LP: 11 YEARS
OWNER: PATTY WOODBURY
EMAIL: saluki13@mediaone.net

Sada was diagnosed with LP during the summer of 1998. He was also diagnosed with low Thyroid and is currently on medication that appears to be holding the onset of additional LP symptoms at bay. Sada has not needed to undergo surgery and it is hoped that the Soloxine will continue to make the need for surgery unnecessary.
